To mark the 150 years of its iconic Cordon Rouge, Maison Mumm will soon unveil the refreshed design of its legendary cuvée, to honor the storied heritage while embracing a sense of modernity.

In 1904, Commander Charcot became the first Frenchman to set foot on Antarctica, marking the start of Mumm Cordon Rouge’s legacy in exploration. From that historic polar journey to a groundbreaking space mission in 2025, it has remained a symbol of human ambition and discovery.

Champagne in Zero-Gravity

Designed by Octave de Gaulle of SPADE, the Mumm Cordon Rouge Stellar bottle blends aerospace innovation with elegance. Featuring an aeronautical-grade aluminum shell and steel neck sealed for microgravity, it’s built to endure space. After nine years of development, this first zero-gravity-adapted champagne meets CNES safety standards and is ready for its historic journey to outer space.

Mission Completed – First Taste of Space

Maison Mumm’s boldest journey begins as Mumm Cordon Rouge Stellar heads to space aboard Axiom Space’s Ax-4 mission. After passing zero-gravity tests, it becomes the first champagne crafted for space. The mission, led by astronaut Peggy Whitson and a European crew, launches from Cape Canaveral, marking a milestone in space and wine innovation.

More than a technical feat, this is a visionary step. By extending the ritual of celebration beyond Earth, Maison Mumm and Axiom Space bring humanity to space, showing how exploration can inspire life on Earth and connect us to the cosmos.
